The Waiting Game
God will often plant a word in your heart, give you a dream, or a vision in prayer long before you actually see it come to fruition.
Yes, some level of work is required of us. But more than often we’ll reach a place where we’re called to just trust and wait.
I love to work hard, to push myself until that thought or dream or vision is realized. Doing anything and everything I can to accomplish what needs to get done. And when everything comes together, it feels rewarding!
BUT even more so, I’ve been blown away at how much more is accomplished when I’ve trusted and waited on Him. When I’ve gotten out of my own way and stepped back enough to watch as He revealed the progress made in spite of my greatest efforts. Assuring me over and over again that He is who He is- faithful, trustworthy, close, good- despite me. A reminder that His activity surrounds us despite our inability to see it.
His activity surrounds us despite our inability to see it.
The call to wait, to pause, to be still- it's for a purpose and the reward runs deeper than we can even begin to fathom.
Know that strength is the promise we receive when we wait on Him.
